We needed a weekend getaway that felt like home, away from the hustle and bustle and quiet. This was the perfect trip. About 15 min away from restaurants and attractions. Driving a big diesel truck was a bit sketchy on some of the roads, but it was beautiful and adventurous. We will be back.

When arriving to the Gone Fishing Home we definitely were set up. This house was spotless, spacious and very tranquil. The creek was gorgeous and so relaxing to listen to the stream. Everything was just how it was described, and so peaceful. we didn't have any trouble with wildlife. we were close enough to people that a neighbor's dog even came over a couple days and played in the yard with my son. Lots of grassy area that was perfect for our 2 doxies. Great location that is easy to get to, no steep inclines to get there. Quick drive to either Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. We wanted a one story cabin and so happy we found this one.
Janis S - 09/19/2021The property was very convenient to the venues we came to Pidgeon Forge for. The house was very clean. The kitchen had enough plates, utensils and cook were that we were able to eat in comfortably. There were plenty of linens. The back porch is nice, and the creek out back of the house was very nice. The driveway and carport were large enough to accommodate our Truck, trailer and car be brought for the Shades of past. The check in was easy and the papers that were emailed to us even included what was the closest grocery. After check in we were even contacted to see if we arrived safely and if we needed anything. The kitchen was well equipped, the washer and drier worked well, . My main suggestions include: that some light bulbs be replaced in the living room area and consider adding some more light, It was hard to read or knit in that room because it was a little dark due to being nestled in the trees. Also the couch and pillows should be replaced, they are very worn. The master mattress is soft, but it is a little worn as well. That being said, we would plan to stay there again. We were also glad that it was dog friendly. Over all, we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

The cabin was so spacious and clean. The hot tub was great to relax in after long days. One thing I would have hoped for it some more cleaning supplies. There was no laundry soap and not much for cleaning the kitchen. If you have a washer and dryer, laundry soap would be nice. We loved the kibg sized beds though, now we have to figure out how to get one to fit in our room. Oh and you need new can openers, there were 3 but they didn't work. Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful cabin.

The rooms were spacious as well. Everything seemed clean. My main complaint would be that it didn’t have some of the necessities that most places provide. We had to buy our own firewood which I assumed would have been provided. It also did not have laundry detergent. Luckily I had brought my own but I’m used to that be providing. All in all though great place to stay would highly recommend. Location great too. Private but also close to town

We were not able to get any car service (Uber/Lyft) to go anywhere at any time of day. I’m not sure if that was due to Covid or the location in general, but overall I would definitely recommend this cabin.

The stream in the backyard was so relaxing for us adults and perfect for small children to play and skip rocks! The hot tub was clean and ready to use at check-in! The cabin, the location, and the amenities exceeded our expectations. The second couple that joined us was even surprised by how quaint it was because they had no idea what I had booked! The four stars are for the entrance to the driveway. The green wooden gate that was pulled back for us was not in great shape. There were pieces hanging off that hung out rather far. Each time we pulled in/out we would have someone hold the wooden pieces back so that it would not scratch our vehicles.

Easy access to the creek, which the kids LOVED) and more than enough space for our large family to stat comfortably. The home also offered a hide away bed and a pull out couch, which we didn't use due to the king sized beds in the bedrooms. The pictures provided make the home seem a tad more secluded that what it actually is, but we didn't mind! We still had our own area and a spacious yard to catch fireflies and roast our marshmallow. Just far enough out to be away from the busy downtown area but close enough to still be there within just a couple minutes. The perfect stay for our week getaway!
Charlie Tisdale - 05/26/2018We were warmly greeted at check in and any questions we had were answered as well as recommendations from the owners. We arrived to a very cute cabin, just as pictured. Our kids loved the creek and so did we. The sounds were so relaxing. But if inside is more your style the hot tub is perfect. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. We didn't want to get out in the morning. Located very close to everything we needed. Any questions we had the owners were just a phone call away. Will stay again hopefully soon.

The hot tub was huge & loved how it was right on the creek 1804 Wears Valley Rd, Pigeon Forge, TN, 37862, United States Date of Stay Mar 15, 2018 We would definitely come back to stay here. In fact my mom wants to come back for a week sometime soon. It was clean, very nicely decorated. I loved these 2 king size bedrooms with the extra twin bed. The couch even made a bed and their was a hide a bed but we didnt need either for our stay.

It had everything we needed except food and personal items. The enclosed porch with the hot tub was perfect. The creek in the back was so beautiful and peaceful. It was very private and quite, but only minutes from Pigeon Forge. I would definitely book this one again!

Especially enjoyed the screened in back porch. We were in the middle of the monsoon season & I was disappointed the PF area for once in my travels didn't have snow or even flurries. We were hunting our t shirts from the unseasonably warm weather. It was very interesting to see the mid size stream hugging it's banks following the rains. Only thing that could be better is if we'd had our own personal snow making machine lol! Thank You for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful place, will definitely return.
Sandra C - 06/17/2016We have just gotten back from our vacation and we stayed five nights in this cabin. There was 5 of us and we had plenty of room and we were all pleased with the cabin. It is well equipped with everything you need for making meals and the beds are comfortable. I enjoyed sitting by the creek having my morning coffee or just relaxing with a good book. It is out just far enough to be away from the crowds but close enough to the parkway that you didn't have a long drive. The covered parking was also a big plus due to it being so hot that it kept the car cooler. My Pomeranian enjoyed the big yard to run in and investigate. Check in was a breeze and the personnel was very efficient. From check in to getting to the cabin,,,maybe 15 mins. We will definitely try and stay here again in the near future. We could not have stayed at a low end motel for the same money
